It’s late afternoon in August as I write this, and the fog is rolling in from the Pacific in big billowy swaths. In so many ways, San Francisco isn’t like the rest of the country, but in no way is that more true than our weather. I relish the chill in the air during the summer… So much so that the fog features prominently in my morning writing, and I’ve been struggling to for a couple of summers to put into words exactly what I love about it. This is my love letter to San Francisco’s summer fog.
