It’s been an amazing year filled with trips to surreal landscapes from deserts to geothermal hotspots to glaciers, time spent in interesting cities, and change, hopefully growth, on a more personal scale.
Despite all this (maybe because of it), I’ve been stuck in my writing. Over thinking and under publishing, which means that I’ve shared almost none of it here, and that’s not how I want to end 2016!
So I’ve decided to start sharing posts daily from December 1st until December 24th.
Advent calendars of the past contained poems and verses behind their windows, before Cadbury started filling them with chocolates in the 1950s. I can promise poetry, travel photos, links, and quotes — bite sized adventures from this year. (No actual chocolate sent over the internet. Sorry!)
I’m excited to mix it up and blow the dust off my keyboard, but I don’t want to overwhelm your inboxes, so emails will come out at most twice a week. You can visit the site directly to follow along daily!
P.S. The Town Hall in Gegenback, Germany is converted annually into the world’s largest Advent calendar. Each night during Advent at 6:00 pm sharp another window is opened. Germany’s famous Christmas markets are high on my list of things to see. Maybe in 2017?!
