There’s little better than waking up without an alarm clock on vacation and wandering down from your hotel room to breakfast, when breakfast is included and readily available. In my mind, a buffet is best. Not all breakfast buffets are inspired. Many are quite terrible, but when they’re good they’re really good. Their pace is leisurely, and the available options are abundant.
Not having to search for breakfast makes for a relaxed vacation morning, especially when husband and wife have different morning styles. When one spouse likes to wake up early, slowly sip a cup of coffee while writing, and the other loves to linger under the covers, then having breakfast included and within easy reach is a win-win.
And, it’s one way that my style of travel has evolved now that Cesar and I usually travel together, but this breakfast table, it’s inspired view, and the constant flow of cafe con leche will be hard to beat.
